Internet Safety

So I just heard a lecture about internet safety and all i have to say is what saftey. All the things on the internet that are created to protect the users simply dont. Technology is almost like a living breathing thing that is in constant motion, constant change adn constant growth. So as such once somebody creates something that is protected the next another person is figured out who to bust through that protection. I dont know what others are thinking but this makes sense to me. With each new leap of industry and technology society leaps forward as well in ways to attack others. Bulling is the most basic form of survival of the fittest and it morphs and evolves with the industry and technology. So thus we have internet and cell phone bulling. The difference is that now that it is on the internet the victims cant escape from it. In this way it is much more tramatizing then the face to face bullying. All i have to say is what is going on with the internet meaning bullying, and predetors is not a new things. Those kinds of this have be going on for years but the difference is the way it is being used. Society has learned to protect itself for the most part from this kinds things but with each jump of technology we have to learn a new way to sheild ourselfs from this things. Predators will always be there society simply as to learn to be a head of them.

I am sick and tired of college professors. Why is it that the emphasis is placed on elementary or high school teachers and then once we reach college we are shafted. At the college level the teachers are all brilliant in their field but they have no idea how to teach. They blabber on and on about something way over our heads, they don't stop to make sure their students understand. Then they wonder why everyone in their class is failing. I think that all professors should have to go through a "how to teach" boot camp, they should never be able to teach just because they have a certain level of education. Just because they are smart doesn't mean they know anything about how to explain it to others. I am paying to be educated not talked at and made a fool of. I want my moneys worth and I want it the minute I walk through the door.
